We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Conference and Banqueting Assistant in the beautiful Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa


Dunboyne Castle Hotel & Spa is a luxury estate, nestled in 21 acres of lush green Meath countryside. The Georgian mansion which welcomes visitors today was originally built in 1764, on the same site as the original castle.


Objective of the Role:

To ensure customer satisfaction in the conference and banqueting function by providing efficient, prompt, and courteous service, set up, break down of conferences, meetings, conventions, and banquets based on event orders and guest needs. All work is carried out in line with departmental and hotel guidelines and corporate service concepts.


As part of your role
:

All our team pride themselves in offering exceptional guest service to ensure we always go above our service standards. Your role with us will include:

  • Setting up function rooms according to event orders, function sheets and/or directions from the Conference and Banqueting Manager, keeping comfort and practicality for the guest in mind.
  • Will assume the main responsibility for the setting up & dismantling of meeting room tables, chairs, and the ballroom dancefloor.
  • Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms, and report issues to the Conference and Banqueting Manager as required.
  • Establishes professional and courteous rapport with guests to maximise satisfaction and repeat business.


What have you done before?

Notwithstanding your positivity and ambition for hospitality we ideally would ideally like you to have some experience for your role as outlined below:

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong ability to work efficiently and deal with busy periods competently
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-Motivated and Enthusiastic
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Some experience in a conference & banqueting/events department

Hours of work

The successful candidate should be available to work flexibly Monday-Sunday and be available for morning and evening shifts
