The position
As an Environment & Energy Professional in VP-area IM2 (Insulin Manufacturing 2), you will be responsible for the external environment in part of the production facilities in IM2 and energy tasks across the whole VP area, such as:


  • Environment and energy assessments and planning related actions for changes and new projects
  • Planning tasks related to environmental legislation e.g. measurements of emissions; and reporting on them
  • Energy and water mapping and suggesting savings within water and energy incl. calculating payback time
  • Reporting and presenting environment and energy status, understanding unit operations and consumptions at the production scale
  • Building trustworthy forecasting models to improve the predictability of consumption of energy and water



You will report directly to the manager for the project team and the environment & energy team.

The position is in Kalundborg, Denmark with the possibility to work from home 1 or 2 days a week.


Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:


  • An academic degree within a relevant area (e.g. in environmental engineering)
  • Some relevant experience within external environment and energy, such as compliance support
  • Familiarity with ISO14001 and ISO50001
  • Fluency in Danish and English (written and verbal), as legislation and communication with authorities are in Danish
  • A strong data-driven approach, as you will have to handle a lot of data and numbers



As a person, you are structured and work independently across a broad stakeholder landscape. You can cooperate with people who have different perspectives and priorities. With your pragmatic and facilitating skills, you create an overview and common prioritizations between many activities. Most importantly, you are persistent when addressing challenges and overcoming obstacles related to environmental regulations, sustainability, and energy efficiency.



About the department
We are part of Business Support in IM2, API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), which produces bulk Insulin for a number of Insulin products.



Business Support is a department, focusing on projects, environment and energy, training, LEAN, and finance, all crucial for securing capacity to meet future demand.
