Oversee and manage the daily operations of a housekeeping staff. Ensures that the rooms, public areas, and other guest spaces are kept clean and tidy to maintain a hig level of customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising and coordinating the work of housekeeping staff, including assigning duties, training new employees, and monitoring performance to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and other guest spaces to ensure that they are cleaned to the highest standards and meet company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and placing orders for new supplies as needed
- Creating work schedules and assigning tasks to staff members based on occupancy levels and guest needs.
- Handling guest complaints and resolving any issues related to housekeeping services.
- Ensuring that housekeeping staff comply with safety and security policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to fire safety regulations.
- Conducting regular training sessions for housekeeping staff to improve their skills and maintain quality standards.
- Collaborating with other Departments such as maintenance, front office, and management to ensure that guest needs are met.
- Maintaining accurate records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, cleaning schedules, and inventory levels.
- Conducting performance evaluations for housekeeping staff and providing feedback for improvement.
- Ensures that the guest have a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable stay at the establishment.
