Our client is Chinese HF, they are now looking for a junior trader to join the team
Trading
- Ensure timely execution of trade orders for markets including China, Hong Kong and US, liaison with brokers to resolve trading issues
- Work with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure pre-trade and post-trade compliance via systems
- Liaison with Risk, Trading and Investment team to review the portfolio, trading plans, potential risks with clients’ risk appetite and investment universe preference and coordinate internally to smoothen the portfolio rebalancing
- Manage market and trading instrument access across various accounts under management
- Explore and monitor the hedging positions from time to time
- Handle IPO, private placement, block trading etc participation
- Monitor the latest regulatory development and manage its impacts on trading activities
- Portfolio enhancement and account attribution analysis
- Work with internal and external counterparts to automate trading workflows and enhance execution accuracy and efficiency
- Draft and maintain trading manual
Broker Management
- Brokers’ onboarding, maintenance and/or development of relationship with the aim to build strategic partnership development
- Perform regular broker reviews to evaluate broker performance from various perspectives and provide timely feedbacks to brokers for further improvement including review of brokers’ electronic trading policy, algorithm Manage broker resources to satisfy group development needs across all departments
- Liaise and coordinate internal group research resource demand
- Collect and analyse transaction commission paid and broker resource consumption data to achieve broker resource optimization
Requirements:
- Passionate about the Fund Management industry
- 2-3 years of working experience in asset management or investment banking preferably in equities.
- Open to candidates from Middle office or Big 4
- Good English and Mandarin skills are a must
- Knowledge of margin financing is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt, constantly multi-tasking and “hands on” to deliver
- Able to work independently and self-motivated, proactive, detail and target oriented
