About the job:
ThriveDX is looking for a Career Outcomes Event Coordinator to provide support to our dynamic Career Outcomes team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist event managers in the planning of student-facing events. By collaborating with various departments, you will play a key role in achieving event goals across multiple universities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Associate Director of Career Events in managing event logistics, including speaker recruitment, creating landing pages, data entry, and sending reminder emails.
- Keep the Master Events file updated for visibility across Career Outcomes and other departments.
- Coordinate deadlines and progress updates among the team to ensure timely project delivery.
- Handle event registration maintenance, including responding to attendee inquiries and making necessary changes.
- Attend regular status event planning meetings.
- Assist in developing and preparing event communication materials such as flyers and direct mail.
- Identify student needs and recommend tailored events to meet market demands.
- Conduct local market research and identify potential partner organizations for speaker opportunities.
- Track event performance and evaluate success against Career Outcomes goals.
- Assist in post-event recaps and send thank-you letters to speakers and students.
- Utilize company systems (Eventbrite, Monday, Google Docs, Google Excel, Google PowerPoint, HubSpot, Slintel) for project management.
- Work collaboratively in a student-centered manner, fostering strong relationships with university partners.
- Occasionally accommodate off-hour events with a flexible work schedule.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience as an event coordinator or in a comparable role.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Experience with remote work and managing remote events.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones.
- Demonstrates a sense of ownership and takes pride in their work and its impact on the company's success.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
