Pay range: $30-35 per hour
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated hardscape professional to join our team as a Lead Hand. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing construction sites, working with stone and brick pavers, retaining walls, and steps. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have leadership experience, be able to work independently, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage hardscape projects from start to finish, ensuring that deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to
- Work with clients to determine their needs and provide guidance on design and construction techniques
- Supervise a crew of two or more employees, providing instruction and guidance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Operate all necessary construction equipment, including machinery, tools, and vehicles
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols, maintaining a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the landscaping/construction industry
- Experience with hardscaping, including installation of interlocking stone, natural stone, retaining walls, and steps. Must be excellent at installing stone.
- Experience leading a team of employees on job sites
- Ability to operate all necessary equipment and tools onsite
- Possess a valid driver's license, as well as have reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently
