HR Business Partner (additional focus area Compensation & Benefits)

We are looking for HR business partner to our SSAB Europe division’s HR team. In addition to HR partnering duties the role includes ownership of our divisional compensation & benefits (C&B) processes in Finland.

HR business partner (HRBP) is both strategic and hands-on role that works as a member of named management teams and provides full cycle HR support to selected organizations. HRBP acts as a primary point of contact for managers in the area of human resources management, organizational performance, performance management, culture development and talent management as well as in the compensation and benefit issues. HRBP supports managers in handling employee incidents and provides guidance in work wellbeing matters. The responsible area of HR partnering duties in this role is SSAB Europe’s Finance and IT organizations which are mainly located in Finland and Sweden.

In the role of divisional C&B processes owner you will provide C&B expertise to SSAB Europe Division especially in Finland. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, maintenance and review of the Europe’s C&B programs and processes (e.g. AIP and SIP incentive programmes and international salary review process), ensuring a good alignment with Global guidelines and country practice, also keeping the competitiveness in local market to support the business strategy and SSAB’s employer image from pay perspective.

An ideal candidate has several years of experience working within HR preferably in a global company. We expect the candidate to be fluent in Finnish or Swedish, and English. Good coaching skills with a business mind-set is expected. Knowledge about employment legislation, recruitment and retention, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and organizational development is expected.
