Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Retail Salesperson for our 7 day trading, Masterton retail store.
Reporting to our Masterton Business Manager, your key focus will bel connecting daily with our Farmlands' shareholders in our store.
You'll also concentrate on:
- A variety of work in a combination of retail /yard capacity
- Providing retail sales and customer service to our shareholders
- Advising customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products
- Operating a point of sale (POS) system
- Completing administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock
- Restocking and displaying our products
Mōhou ake | About you
We're looking for someone who has come from the farming and/or agricultural industry and understands our local farming community.
With proven experience in retail and customer service, you will enjoy connecting with our shareholders, assisting them with their daily requirements.
- You have a positive attitude and are keen to learn - we can train you on the rest!
- You have sound computer skills
- You're physically fit as there will be lifting and manual handling tasks
- Are available for a full weekend per month
Bonus Points for
- A background in the farming sector
- A broad knowledge of agricultural products and services
- Knowledge in fencing / wood
- A forklift licence (f Endorsement)
