The Company
Mosey is a new food finding app for finding food trucks, cafes and restaurants. It features abilities that don’t exist with the current food finding apps such as Google or Instagram or booking services. We offer businesses that take bookings a business profile and businesses such as cafes and food trucks a show profile that gives them full access to features except for booking. This role will suit someone who really loves food!
Our main features are for businesses to be able to post to a timeline, users to post ratings, and shared favourites lists like a shared playlist on Spotify.
The company requires a summer Sales Manager to sign-up food businesses before launch. Businesses will be offered deals to sign-up, with the only stipulation being that you receive confirmation in writing and that Mosey then can take pictures and videos for marketing.
As a new company, we have a culture of believing in people and their ability. You don’t need to have previous sales experience to be successful in this role, but you do have to be comfortable dealing with business managers and owners and this will be tested if you are successful to interview stage. This role is open to both students and experienced sales people.
The Contract
The contract is for the candidate to sign-up 30 businesses. For the first 15 businesses, there will be an additional €5 bonus per business sign-up, on top of your hourly rate. For the second 15 businesses, there will be a bonus of €10 per sign-up.
The role may be made permanent to a successful candidate after an initial trial.
The Role
The role will require you to plan what businesses you are going to visit and then visit these businesses to get them to sign-up. It may require to take contact information for senior managers or owners and then to contact them via phone or e-mail.
Booklets, videos and an app prototype will be made available to you to assist in this, as well as a full training and info session to learn about Mosey and what it does.
The hours can be worked in whatever way is easiest for you – they are flexi! Most operating times for cafes are daytime and restaurants are evenings, so you must be free at some stage during your week to visit at off-peak times. The hours can also be worked differently each week if required – if you do 30 hours one week and 10 the next, that’s fine. We do promote enjoying work and sometimes you need time for other hobbies.
The businesses you visit will be agreed on before you visit them, and this may require travel to different parts of Dublin, outside of Dublin City Centre. A car is not a necessity, but comfort with public transport is.
Competencies
Communication
This role requires excellent communication to both communicate to businesses and keep in contact with businesses as well as the ability to communicate your message for signing them up in a calm, poised manner. You must be able to convey the deal in the way that suits your personality best while remaining professional.
Planning and Organisation
You must be excellent at planning your strategy as well as your work week and day. Mild research ability will be required with this too.
Problem Solving
You must be able to problem solve and think on your feet in regards to meetings.
Extra Requirements
Punctuality
Strong grammar skills
And above all, a positive mindset! You’ll be exploring Dublin and making contacts with the managers and owners of the best food businesses in the city, enjoy it!
