We are also using machine learning, big data analysis, and data science to build automated risk assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Scaling our backend services to ever-growing levels of traffic and complexity.
- Design, implement and optimize the performance of large-scale distributed systems with security and compliance in mind.
- Take ownership of backend services, including responsibility for building, shipping, and maintaining critical product features.
- Own features end-to-end: from inception to design, implementation, and launch
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Designers, Product Managers, DevOps, Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, and QA Engineers
- Contribute to architectural discussions, designs, and proposals
- Contribute to documentation of applications and services to guide team development efforts toward successful project delivery
- Guide team development efforts toward successful project delivery and provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Requirements:
- At least 4+ years of relevant professional experience in software development
- You have strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including a relevant background in computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage, and agile development methodologies.
- You are highly entrepreneurial and thrive in taking ownership of your own impact. You take the
- initiative to solve problems before they arise.
- You are an excellent collaborator & communicator. You know that startups are a team sport. You
- listen to others, aren't afraid to speak your mind and always try to ask the right questions.
- Hands-on experience in large enterprise development in a multi-cloud environment. Strong expertise in Python language & Web Frameworks like Django/flask required for backend development.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with any NoSQL Database, Caching, and Messaging is a plus.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming with a strong background in event-driven microservices, data replication techniques and cloud architecture.
