What You’ll Be Doing:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our fast-paced and innovative ecommerce company. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision making and leveraging advanced analytical techniques to optimize our business processes and drive growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a versatile range of models and applications, contributing to various aspects of our business.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Model Development: Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytical models to support various business functions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large and complex datasets to derive actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue generation.
  • Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing to assess the significance and reliability of findings, ensuring the accuracy and validity of data-driven insights.
  • Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate complex findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify data science opportunities, prioritize projects, and drive successful implementation.
  • Model Deployment and Monitoring: Deploy models into production environments and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure their ongoing accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques, and proactively bring in new methodologies to enhance our analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a data science role
  • Proven experience working with a diverse range of models, including time series forecasting, causal impact analysis, linear regression, leadscore modeling, recommendation systems, classification, and anomaly detection.
  • Proficiency in Python. Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch).
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in real-world scenarios (e.g. hypothesis testing, experimental design, bayesian statistics)
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in marketing analytics, including attribution modeling, marketing mix modeling (MMM) - advantage
  • Experience with SQL & data manipulation techniques, including cleaning, transformation, and merging of large datasets.
  • Experience creating clear and visually appealing dashboards using tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business problems, translate them into analytical questions, and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive business impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and attention to detail. Ability to approach problems from a structured and logical perspective.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
